On 30 April 2026 the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters asked me to spend a day shooting content for three venues on The Parade, Norwood: Somma, Eccomi and Taste of Nepal. Three very different kitchens, three very different looks, all within a short walk of each other. Here's how it came together.

Somma: modern Greek in soft daylight

Somma is all warm stone, sage greens and natural light, so I leaned into a bright, airy style: share plates on the green tables, a glass of red with the Somma logo and an overhead of the spread. We also grabbed a portrait of the team under their glowing sign; people buy from people, and a friendly face does wonders on a venue's socials.

Eccomi: southern Italian, bold and blue

Eccomi has a strong brand (that electric blue is everywhere), so I built the shots around it: blue napkins under the focaccia and prosciutto, the sign out on The Parade and a clinking round of Aperol spritzes. Then it was into the kitchen for the long Roman-style pizza coming together.

Taste of Nepal: warmth, colour and fire

Taste of Nepal's dining room is pure warmth (golden walls and Himalayan artwork), and the food is just as colourful. We shot a full spread of momos, curry and naan, the room itself, and a chef sending a wok of flames up in the kitchen. The timing was perfect too: the team had just been named Best Restaurant/Pub at the 2026 Eastside Business Awards, so we finished with a proud portrait holding their certificates.

Why venues (and councils) shoot like this

A single day across neighbouring venues is an efficient way to refresh a whole precinct's imagery for menus, delivery apps, websites, tourism campaigns and social media. Every shoot is done in the venue's real space with their own plates and glassware: no studio, no fake props, just the place looking its best.

Want photos like these for your venue?

I shoot food, drinks and venues for restaurants, bars and cafés across Adelaide, with edited images delivered within 5 business days. Councils and precincts: I'm happy to quote on multi-venue content days too.
